Sigma Sigma Rho - Georgia Tech

The Distinguished Sisters of Sigma Sigma Rho would like to welcome you to our Georgia Tech Colony website. Sigma Sigma Rho Sorority, Inc. on the Georgia Tech campus is the first South Asian based sorority operating in the state of Georgia. Our colony was founded on September 10, 2005 by two young women looking to promote awareness of South Asian culture in our community
The three fundamental principles of our organization are Sisterhood, Society, and Remembrance. Sisterhood is what we work for, Society is to whom we give, and Remembrance is what lies in our hearts. Our motto, “Mann, Atman, Dharam, Together they are one... We will not fall, forever we are one.” symbolizes the strength and commitment of our organization. We are devoted to bringing together individuals of all backgrounds and inspiring unity and trust.
Sigma Sigma Rho has taken a leadership role on the Georgia Tech campus since the establishment of the colony. In December of 2006, Sigma Sigma Rho, along with 5 other organizations, successfully founded Georgia Tech’s Multicultural Greek Council. We are active in philanthropy in the entire Atlanta area; we are here to lend a helping hand to all who need it.

Sisterhood

Every semester, we search the Georgia Tech campus for the brightest, talented, and most honorable undergraduate women. Our sisters are incredible individuals before they join Sigma Sigma Rho. After, they are women of strength and honor. We strive to uphold high ideals that will create a reputation of sociability, honor, and compassion.
As a Greek sorority, we reach out to our other brothers and sisters on the Georgia Tech campus. We have several social mixers with fraternities and sororities each semester in an attempt to get to known our Greek brethren better and be a more integral part of the Georgia Tech community.
